Brief History

• 1974 Founded as the first Buddhist Monastery in Latin America under the guidance of Bishop Ryohan Shingu.
• 1998 Name was changed from Busshinji to Zenkoji in honor of the contribution by Niwa Renpo Zenji at Eiheiji and Narazaki Ikko Roshi at Zuioji.
• 2005 Recognized as one of the Eiheiji Gojikimatsu
