Brief History

• 1903, Rev. Taian Ueno moved to Peru for his new assignment.
• 1907, built Nanzen-Ji at St. Barbara, Canete County.
• 1908, renamed to Jion-ji by the two head monasteries.
• 1925, replaced to Saint Luis town.
• 1974, the Earthquake collapsed temple.
• 1977, relocated to the current place.
• 2007, the 100th anniversary.
